• SoX - terminal audio editor, useful for automation
• Audacity - audio editor
• Audacious - great music player

Operating systems:

• Artix - wonderful 1 week journey
• Arch - bleeding edge, lots of packages
• MX Linux - useful operating system with tools for a secondary computer
